Our approach is conservative in the deepest sense: we respect the institutions, values and legal tradition of this country, but we refuse the notion of "it cannot be done." We uphold individual rights and freedoms as the foundations of a healthy society — as operational principles that must be reflected in legislation, public policy and institutional culture.
